On September 4, the award ceremony of the 5th UN SDG Hong Kong Achievement Awards, organised by the Hong Kong Green Council, was grandly held in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Mr. Wang Yanhua, Chairman of CRBC (Hong Kong), was awarded the Outstanding SDG Leadership Award. The Siu Ho Wan Water Treatment Works Extension and Siu Ho Wan Raw Water Booster Pumping Station Project won the SDG Achievement Award. Six projects including the MTR Tuen Mun South Extension and Trunk Road T4 were conferred with the SDG Recognised Project Award.

Launched in 2021, the UN SDG Hong Kong Achievement Awards recognise organisations and leaders with outstanding performance in operational practices and sustainable development initiatives that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The awards are assessed across four major categories: participation level, development strategy, social impact and scalability. Entries are professionally evaluated by a judging panel comprising industry experts and academics.
