On October 14, China Road and Bridge successfully won the bid for the Water Supplies Department project "Extension of Ngau Tam Mei Water Treatment Works and Associated Improvement Works of Existing Treatment Stream " (Contract No.: 18/WSD/24).

Located in Hong Kong’s Northern Metropolis, the project is a design and build contract. The scope of works includes the construction of civil and structure works for water treatment plant, as well as the design and construction of water treatment process equipment and related E&M equipment. To meet the new water demand brought by the development of the Northern Metropolis, the project will increase the daily water treatment capacity of the existing Ngau Tam Mei  Water Treatment Plant from 230,000 cubic meters to 440,000 cubic meters, with reserved space for further increasing the capacity to 640,000 cubic meters per day. The project is expected to be completed in 60 months.
