On March 20, CRBC successfully signed the framework contract for the Drainage Maintenance and Construction Works in Hong Kong and Outlying Islands (2026–2030) and the Drainage Maintenance and Construction Works in North New Territories (2027–2030) (Contract No.: DC/2025/01/F1), with the Drainage Services Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The projects mainly cover the maintenance, upgrading and reconstruction of public sewage and stormwater drains, as well as the construction of drainage facilities, across Hong Kong Island, outlying islands and North New Territories, with a total contract duration of 48 months.
This is the first time that the Drainage Services Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government has adopted the NEC Framework Contract model under the new engineering contract system, aiming to optimize the project procurement process and reduce risk premium. As a new contract model following the introduction of the NEC contract, it has important demonstration significance and industry leading role. The successful bid once again demonstrates the Drainage Services Department’s high recognition and trust in China Road and Bridge’s brand reputation, performance capacity and comprehensive service level. In the future, China Road and Bridge Hong Kong Company will promote the project implementation with high standards and high quality, and continue to help upgrade the quality of Hong Kong’s drainage facilities.
