On 30 January, the "2025 Outstanding NEC Contract Team Performance Award" presentation ceremony, hosted by the Hong Kong Development Bureau, was held at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. The Drainage Maintenance and Construction Project in the Northern New Territories, undertaken by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), was awarded the "Excellence in Innovative Technology Application Award".

This award aims to continuously encourage Hong Kong's construction industry to uphold the NEC spirit, foster a "mutual trust and cooperation" culture under NEC contracts, and recognize project teams with outstanding performance in construction collaboration, contract management and engineering problem-solving. Launched by the Hong Kong Development Bureau for the first time in 2025, it includes two awards: "Outstanding Partnership Award" and "Outstanding Innovative Technology Application Award". For the drainage maintenance project in North District, CRBC Hong Kong innovatively introduced an integrated high-power water pumping equipment "Long Xi Shui" (Dragon Water Absorption), which successfully solves flood problems in extreme weather and stands out among many competing projects with excellent innovation, replicability, scalability and project performance. CRBC has always adhered to solving engineering challenges through innovation, leading the industry and enhancing project value and brand competitiveness throughout the whole life cycle.
