Focused on the modular construction philosophy of off-site fabrication and on-site assembly, our projects adopt DfMA and MiMEP construction approach to the large extent. Building components, M&E installations and cabling are prefabricated, assembled and tested in factories before delivery to the construction sites for rapid installation and integration, greatly streamlining on-site construction procedures. The modular approach effectively shortens the construction programme, enhances quality control of finished product, reduces the risks of working at height and risks associated with temporary works on the site, and comprehensively uplifts overall construction safety standards. It also minimises wet trades, construction waste, noise and dust emission on site, mitigating the construction impact on the surrounding environment and local communities.
The integrated adoption of DfMA and MiMEP standardises construction workflows, simplifies site procedures and enables intelligent project management. It aligns with Hong Kong government’s policy of efficient construction, green building and sustainable development, pioneering a safer, higher-quality, eco-friendly and more efficient new construction approach for large-scale infrastructure and building projects.
Manufacturing independent MiC units (including building structure, finishing, fixtures, and building services)in the factory, while carrying out foundation works on site, thereby reducing on-site construction processes and minimizing the impact of weather, labor resources, and site constraints on the construction process.
In the design stage, we consider the assemblability of the bridge structure, select methods that are suitable for off-site manufacturing and on-site assembly, simplify on-site construction and installation process, thereby improving construction efficiency and safety, and reducing environmental impact.
Based on the site conditions and technical requirements, BIM technology is used to modularize the entire E&M system and simulate transportation, lifting, and assembly. Through off-site prefabrication and modular installation, the efficiency, quality, and safety of E&M installation works are greatly improved, while reducing construction time and environmental impact.
