Our project team designed and developed a world-first 360° Rotating Special Lifting Frame (SLF) for bridge erection, which was successfully used for a few infrastructure projects, particularly for the bridge works of Lok Ma Chau Loop Development Project. It is mounted on a tailor-made hydraulic turntable which can lift the precast segments from the ground level in any direction, eliminating the need for heavy cranes for segment erection. Leveraging the equipment’s core advantages of flexibility, high efficiency and superior safety, it resolves complex construction challenges in limited works area of the urban and in the close proximity to the operating railway, fully demonstrating our technical expertise and innovative capabilities in road and bridge construction.
The application of this equipment effectively tackles longstanding pain points of traditional construction and underpins the high-quality development of Hong Kong’s infrastructure:
A. Improve Construction Efficiency: It significantly shortens the construction cycle, streamlines on-site procedures, and achieves higher efficiency than conventional equipment.
B. Enhance Construction Safety: It reduces working-at-height activities, mitigates safety risks on site.
C. Uphold Green Development: It reduces construction disturbance to the surrounding environment, traffic and operating railway, cuts carbon emissions, and meets Hong Kong’s requirements for low-carbon infrastructure.
